For [TA]'s and those that have yet to read the Janice Bible:
An excerpt from the "How to [TA] page:"
> TAs have one action each action phase.
> TAs are in PsiComm not the real world, and as such have no hearts or movement, instead having battlefield control.
> TAs do not have access to normal the abilities and actions of soldiers.
TA’s abilities are divided into two groups: remote manipulation of allied and enemy PsiComm, and electronic manipulation of the battlefield
PsiComm manipulation is covered in the PsiComm Visual Codex and will not be repeated here.
TA’s do a passive scan on the battlefield. These scans can be on a field element (such as an item, structure, ally, or enemy) or on the field to search for something (scanning for civilians, fuel-powered cars, fortified positions). There is no roll for scans.
the TA can literally change the battlefield by assigning characteristics to field elements (such as a weak spot in structure, explosive fuel in a car, or spare ammo on an enemy corpse) by analyzing them. This requires a 1d10 roll, with the rating being adjusted by scans that support or refute the proposed characteristics, and with the likelihood of the characteristic existing.
TAs can help allied soldiers on the field by marking targets or spotting for them. First a TA must either scan the target (read: enemy) or the ally in question, and then with that data, they can AID, provide a +1 to all ratings against a target, or +1 to all ratings for an ally. The bonuses from these actions last until the beginning the next action phase. There is no roll for aiding.
