    The mighty battle tank smashed through the lines of the xenos, it's treads covered with bits of carapace and gore. It continued on even as xenos swarmed onto it, slashing at it's hull and pulling pieces away from it.


    The transmissions of Aleksander and the crew screaming their blood curdling defiance in the face of the xenos were cut short. It was all too much for the beast to handle. The mighty tank was engulfed in a ball of fire, it's magazines pierced and fuel lines severed.

    Dimitri sat in his chair in the command bunker. Although the screens in front of him displayed the battle from the armor mounted cameras and distant observers, he didn't need them. The soldiers were his eyes. What they saw, he saw. Motionless, he continued to observe, not even bothering to keep his eyes open.

    While other PA's would offer words of encouragement, Dimitri was not a talker. He didn't need to ask the commander to know what he wanted. His aides had, accustomed to his silent manner, had stopped checking to see if he was still awake many battles ago. Periodically, he would offer subliminal suggestions to those on the field.

    Occasionally though, he was called on to use his talents to greater effect. Now was one such time.

    A DVA explodes, sending a column of fire skyward. Focusing on that blaze, Dimitri begins concentrating. Suddenly the fire takes shape, many hands reaching out from the inferno. Every hand enclosing a xenoform, turning all to cinders within their grasp.

    Dimitri slumps in his seat from exhaustion, soaked in sweat. An aide offers him some water while wiping his brow with a damp cloth.

    These are not directions. This is an appraisal of the current situation. Many of the suggestions here WILL change after the enemy moves.

    First off remember that all tanks (Except the MLs) have full gunner compliments. So make sure you're firing everything you've got.

    I also need an ammo count for Dm1, 2, and 3.

    Targets in order of priority: Wasps, Roaches/Kruller/Reavers, Big Ugly.
    If we don't stop the little guys first they'll tear us apart while Big Ugly soaks everything.

    DVA 3,4, and 5 should advance into the ravine. A full run should get them close enough to be effective in one turn. Anyone that might be run over by this should move.

    Salamanders should setup to firewall the area directly south of where the big ugly is.

    ML1 should fire on the other end of the bridge, either destroying it to prevent the horde from crossing or the horde it self if it can reach it.

    ML2 and 3 will need to advance at least one length North West to enter effective firing range of the Big Ugly.

    Dm1 needs to engage and destroy the wasps flying over the bridge.

    The tanks on the bridge either need to fire and fall back, or hold their ground and hope the bridge doesn't collapse under them. They are also likely to get an acid bath.

    Both Dm4s should fire on the horde about to cross the bridge.

    DVA2 should maintain fire on Big Ugly.

    Dm2 should deal with the southern two wasps

    Dm3 either needs to continue to fall back while I1 effects repairs or make a suicide charge on Big Ugly while I1 mans the guns. Discusses it amongst yourselves. Assist Dm2 with the wasps and/or roaches at your discretion.

    S1 assist with downing the wasps over the bridge.

    R1 look out for the DVAs and position to fire on Big Ugly when he enters the ravine.

    R2 move up to assist R1. Stay on the Ammo Dog. It offers you better mobility.

    Axemen, a suicide charge on Big Ugly would be pointless. A better idea would be to move to high ground and jump onto it's back. Then proceed to hack into it.

    I'm actually hoping those guys get forced into the ravine. That's half the reason the Salamanders are down there. What I don't have a plan for is the Salamanders getting stepped on.
